Kobeha Keikaku | GRAPHILO refill M5 plain
Long-awaited Refills in Limited Production
GRAPHILO system diary refills, which many customers have requested, are now available in limited quantities and for direct sale only.
Kobeha Keikaku's original paper, "GRAPHILO," was named by combining the Greek words "graph" (to write) and "philo" (to love). It is a paper manufactured with the desire to create paper products that focus on the writing quality of fountain pens.
Development was advanced in cooperation with paper manufacturers and fountain pen enthusiasts, all seeking the ideal paper.
Starting with a paper selected from dozens of types, the composition and manufacturing method were subtly altered, and writing tests were repeatedly performed on the resulting dozens of new paper types. This fine-tuning continued until the day of papermaking itself.
Paper can be broadly categorized into "uncoated paper," which has no surface treatment, and "coated paper," which is coated with pigments called fillers. Many of GRAPHILO's unique writing characteristics are born from the ingenious combination of filler type, quantity, and application method.
Smooth, rich ink flow |
While retaining the texture of the paper, it provides a smooth writing experience without feathering or catching.
This sensation is expressed with the word "nurunuru" (smooth and slippery).
Sharp lines |
By using fillers that can firmly cover the surface even when applied thinly, we have succeeded in making it difficult for blurring or ink feathering to occur.
Excellent ink color development |
A uniform coating layer allows ink to develop color beautifully, and shading expressions are rich.
Reduced bleed-through |
The filler composition has been adjusted, making it less likely for ink to bleed through even when using broad nibs or layering writing.
Reduced front and back difference |
Paper always has a difference between its front and back sides.
Depending on this difference, some papers may have significantly different writing qualities even if they are otherwise identical, but GRAPHILO also pays attention to minimizing the difference between the front and back.
* GRAPHILO tends to have a slightly slower ink penetration to achieve its smooth writing feel.
Also, you may not experience the above characteristics depending on the pen and ink you use.
Please use it while experimenting with its compatibility with your writing instruments.
